Connect social accounts

Every network is connected from the Accounts tab. Six of the seven use the network’s own login screen, so PostMCP never sees your password. Bluesky uses an app password instead.

Connect a profile

  1. 1
Open Accounts and choose Connect New Account
A dialog lists the seven networks. Pick one.
  2. 2
    Authorise on the network
You are sent to the network’s own consent screen. Approve the requested permissions and, where asked, select the pages or channel to link.
  3. 3
Confirm the profile appears as Connected
You land back on Accounts with the new profile card. It is now selectable in the composer and visible to any connected AI client.

Bluesky app password

Bluesky does not offer OAuth for third-party publishing, so PostMCP asks for an app password, a revocable secret scoped to one app.

  1. 1
In Bluesky, open Settings, then Privacy and Security, then App Passwords
Choose Add App Password, give it a name such as “PostMCP” and copy the generated value. It is shown only once.
  2. 2
In PostMCP, choose Bluesky and enter your handle and the app password
Your handle looks like alice.bsky.social. Paste the app password, then choose Connect Profile.

Expired authorisations

Networks expire tokens on their own schedules, and changing your password on some of them revokes every connected app. When that happens, the profile card on Accounts asks you to reconnect and posts targeting it fail with a clear error. Reconnect, then retry the failed post from All Posts. An AI client can check for this with the get_account_health tool before it schedules anything.
